My "greater" Ambitions

Ok...confession time....

In the evenings I probably spend way to much time on the T.V. than I should. After the children go to sleep though, I find myself sprawled out on the couch watching shows that really are about nothing. And I love every minute of it. A few evenings ago I was flipping when something caught my eye....on the food network....and it was cake....

I have found my purpose in life. For those of you who know what Im talking about...stop laughing now. For those of you who dont--I came across a show called Ace of Cakes--and its about a cake decorator named Duff and his crew (which the whole slew of them remind me of my brother and his friends...making it that much more entertaining)---to say the least I was in awe. These cakes are RIDICULOUS!! I told Berns I now want to be a cake decorator when I grow up. He rolls his eyes at me...but I wont lie....I even looked up pastry schools online in Las Vegas.

This is it fellas...this is my calling in life....time to decorate cakes.

All I Want For Christmas is for Riley to Slow Down...

Riley lost her first tooth!! *clap* *hoots* *hollers* *congrats* *silent sob*

Silent sob? you ask---well, my baby is getting too big. She is a full blown kid. I can no longer get away with calling her a baby...although I probably should have known that when she turned 6, and went to FIRST grade...but this solidifies it...she's a big girl.

She is SOOOOO excited about loosing her tooth. She stuck it in a pretty little box and stuck it under her pillow and woke me up with GREAT excitement the following morning at 6am to show me the profit in which she recieved. Because of this experience I have learned 2 things:

1. Riley is growing up too fast and eventhough I would like to protest it, I will continue to enjoy every little bit of her.

2. I need to loose more teeth--the tooth fairy is quite generous these days and we are in a recession...gotta make money some how!

Momma, WOW, I'm a big kid now...

Little miss Zo has decided that her new favorite thing is to climb her way up into a standing position. She thinks it is quite the fun, entertaining game. If I would let her, she would spend all day climbing up the side of my shower. So...this morning I let her do just that...climb the shower. She gets so pleased with herself when she gets up there that she turns around and gives you a big smile...now if only she can figure out how to sit back down.
Because this is such a FUN game she makes it a point to try to tower over anything that she can. From the couch, to showers, to suitcases, to mom, to dad. She has even attempted to climb Sophie, but the darn dog wont hold still. She is persistant...maybe one of these days her ambitions and goals will come true...job well done Zo Zo, keep climbing.

Making plans in her head about the execution of her mission...

She goes for it...

Victory is sweet...especially with leg warmers on...

\Climbin the couch. I was trying to get a picture of her sitting down...she wasnt havin it.

Climbin up on mom..holding on for dear life. Really, she just wanted me to hold her.

Climbin dad...while hitting him at the same time--another fun game she likes to play...

When I Grow Up I Want To Be A Figure Skater...

HIGH SCHOOL MUSCIAL ON ICE TOUR....

Yes...I saw it....

Ya, so, I might have enjoyed it a little too much....

What's it to ya?

Berns went on a business trip, so I took Riley (and Zoie toted along for the trip) to High School Musical on Ice! Riley and I loved it and sang a long the whole time. I sat with my eyes glued to the facination of these people spinning and lifting and twirling and flipping on the ice. Holy Cow...whenever I get on ice I immediatley fall on my rear.
Riley enjoyed it a lot...but lets be truthful, I think I enjoyed it more. shhh, dont tell anyone. Mom, will you sign me up for lessons? I want to be in High School Musical on Ice Tour when I grow up.

Hey babe, you going my way?

Watch out Mateus, Charlie is making his move...

Blessed are they that mourn...

Upon picking Riley up from school yesterday we learned that one of Riley's classmates had been accidently shot and killed over the holidays. Please pray that this little girls family will find comfort and peace in this difficult time. We know this little girl is in a better place, but worry for her family.
